FROM 1984 UNTIL THEIR RETIREMENT IN 2015, JON SERVED AS VSC PRESIDENT AND LOUISE AS VICE PRESIDENT. THE STUDIO CENTER IS THE LARGEST INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS AND WRITERS RESIDENCY IN THE U.S. EACH YEAR VSC HOSTS 750 ARTISTS AND WRITERS (55 PER MONTH, CHOSEN FROM 5,000 ANNUAL APPLICANTS) FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD, IN 4 TO 12 WEEK INDEPENDENT STUDIO RESIDENCIES, ON AN AWARD WINNING 32 BUILDING CAMPUS IN JOHNSON, A SMALL SCENIC VILLAGE IN THE GREEN MOUNTAINS IN NORTHERN VERMONT.
